VW Heritage began life more than 30 years ago as Karmann Classics – a small company sourcing parts exclusively for Karmann Ghias. Since then we have grown into the UK’s largest air-cooled VW specialist, supplying quality Volkswagen replacement parts for Beetles, Buses and Ghias from our large premises in West Sussex and more recently stocking parts for the water-cooled models also.
Whilst we are very proud of our success, our ethos remains the same today as it was twenty years ago – to approach our business from the viewpoint of a VW enthusiast. The staff and directors at Heritage have owned and restored countless Volkswagens over the years, and the combined experience, knowledge and expertise of our sales team is an invaluable resource to our customers. Of course, approaching the parts business with the mindset of a true fan doesn’t always make for an easy life. It would be far simpler to stock only the VW body parts that are easiest to source and replenish… But as cars don’t rust to order, we always go the extra mile and that’s why we are known as dedicated VW parts suppliers.
Our search for quality parts takes us right around the world. Where possible we source genuine Volkswagen replacement parts direct from VW, but with air-cooled production now ceased, genuine parts are harder and harder to find. Thankfully our purchasing team search just as hard to find reproduction and aftermarket alternatives. We even have parts manufactured exclusively for VW Heritage, just to ensure we truly offer the fullest possible range. That’s why our VW parts store is now able to supply more than 14,000 different lines (the majority off the shelf!) for these classic air-cooled vehicles. And the fact that we can offer restoration parts, aftermarket parts and even engines (remanufactured to Volkswagen’s original specifications) under the one roof, means that we can truly claim to be a one-stop VW parts shop for all the other enthusiasts out there.
